Effectiveness
According to scientific research, statistically there are no differences in the effectiveness of American and South Korean botulinum toxins. Practicing doctors say the same thing: these products are equally effective.
South Korea has its own equivalent of the US FDA – the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS). This is a government agency that monitors the safety of all food products, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals on the Korean market. What do scientists say?
Neurovie has undergone a full cycle of clinical trials:

- Phase 2 compared the effectiveness of Neurovie and Botox. The results showed that the administration of Neurovie to adult patients with moderate to severe frown lines had an effect that was no different from that of Botox.
- Phase 3 is a multicenter, double-blind, randomized, parallel, actively controlled clinical trial. Scientists compared the effect of Neurovie and Botox on a large sample of patients with moderate to severe frown lines. The study showed the following results:
- Safety. Adverse events, clinical laboratory test results, vital signs, physical examination results, and neutralizing antibody tests were evaluated. No significant differences were found between the two groups, and the drug can be safely used to treat the conditions indicated.
- Efficacy. The assessment was based on the criterion of “improvement in expression lines at maximum frown.” Four weeks after administration of the drug, 79% of participants in the study group and 83% in the control group showed improvement. There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups (p=0.3706).
General preparation for Neurovie injections
Three days before the procedure, avoid taking substances that impair blood clotting. This will reduce the risk of bruising. These substances include, for example, products containing ginkgo biloba, vitamin E, garlic, alcohol, aspirin, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, certain antidepressants, etc. Consult your doctor about this.
How to prepare your face for Neurovie injections?

- Disinfect the skin with an alcohol wipe.
- Apply a local anesthetic to the skin using a cream or spray.
- Mark the injection sites with a cosmetic marker. However, Neurovie should not be injected into these marks themselves, but next to them, to avoid getting dye under the skin along with the needle.
What do you need for Neurovie injections?

- several 1 ml insulin syringes with 30-31 gauge needles for injections;
- a container for disposing of needles;
- sterile saline solution – 0.9% sodium chloride solution;

How to properly reconstitute Botox from powder?
The potency of botulinum toxin is measured in units. The most common form is vials containing 100 units each. Neurovie is supplied in such vials.
The botulinum toxin in the vial is in powder form. Before use, it must be dissolved in saline solution (this process is called reconstitution).

Step-by-step procedure for diluting Neurovie:
- Remove the aluminum cap from the vial and clean the rubber stopper with a disinfectant.
- Attach a sterile needle to the syringe, draw 2.5 mL of saline solution, and inject it into the vial.
- Gently mix the vial by swirling it for less than one minute.
- After cleaning the rubber stopper of the vial with a disinfectant, attach a 30-gauge sterile needle to a disposable syringe and draw up the clear reconstituted solution.
How much Neurovie should be administered for best results?
On average, each injection requires 3-5 units. That is why 2.5 ml of saline solution per 100-unit vial is the optimal dilution. This will give you 4 units of botulinum toxin in 0.1 ml of the prepared solution, which is just enough for one injection, making it very convenient for dosing.

How deep should Neurovie be injected?
Neurovie should be injected at different depths in different areas of the face. The main goal is to reach the muscle tissue located under the skin and under the fat layer. For example, around the eyes, the skin and fat layer are very thin, so the muscles are much closer to the surface than on the forehead. But in general, it is not recommended to inject deeper than 4-5 mm.
A good way to determine whether the needle has reached the muscle is by the sensation of its movement. The connective tissue of the epidermis and dermis is quite tough and resists the movement of the needle. When the needle penetrates the fat layer, this resistance disappears. Next comes the target muscle layer – when entering it, you will feel elastic resistance. If you go through the muscle, the needle will hit hard bone and will not penetrate further.
What to do after the injection session?
- Immediately after the injections, you may feel a burning or tingling sensation. These sensations will disappear on their own within a few minutes.
- After all the injections are complete, wipe your face again with antiseptic wipes.
- If the discomfort persists, you can relieve it by applying an ice pack to the injection site.
- For the next 4-5 hours, try not to lie on your back and do not apply makeup.
- Do not massage your face or apply heat to it for the next 24 hours.
- For the next three days, try to avoid intense physical activity and hot baths.
- Refrain from drinking alcohol for three days.
How quickly will the result appear?
However, wrinkles will be smoothed out as much as possible in about 4-5 weeks. Our bodies gradually metabolize botulinum toxin. Therefore, the results achieved will last for 3-4 months, up to a maximum of 6 months. After that, Neurovie injections can be repeated.

How to properly store
- As soon as you receive the product, it should be placed in the refrigerator immediately.
- Unopened bottles of Neurovie should be stored at a temperature between 2° and 8°C.
- The shelf life of an unopened vial is 36 months.
